The virtue of going to the Masjid to seek knowledge

Is this authentic?

“Whoever leaves for the Masjid in the morning for no reason but to learn or teach others, then he will have a reward as if he has completed the Hajj pilgrimage”

Answer

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Whoever sets out towards the Masjid for the purpose of learning or teaching knowledge will receive the reward of a Haji whose Haj was perfect”

(Al Mu’jamul Kabir, Hadith: 7473)

The chain of narrators has been declared reliable by ‘Allamah Mundhiri, Hafiz ‘Iraqi and ‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahumullah)
