Is this authentic?
A person complained to Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) that he had a hard heart. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) advised him to pass his hand over the head of an orphan and to feed the poor.
Answer:
Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

‘Allamah Mundhiri and Hafiz Haythami (rahimahumallah) have declared the chain of narrators reliable.
(Targhib, vol. 3 pg. 349 and Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 8 pg. 160)
