Is this a reliable narration?
عن علي رضي الله عنه قال: أخبرني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أن أول من يدخل الجنة أنا وفاطمة والحسن والحسين قلت: يا رسول الله، فمحبونا؟ قال: من ورائكم
Answer
Imam Hakim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith.
(Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 3 pg. 151)
However, ‘Allamah Dhahabi (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith extremely unreliable. (والحديث منكر من القول يشهد القلب بوضعه)
The Hadith is therefore not suitable to quote.
Translation
‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports, “Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) informed me, ‘The first to enter Jannah will be Fatimah, Hasan, Husayn and myself.’ Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) then asked, ‘What about those who love us?’ Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, ‘They will be just behind you.’”
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
