Attaining jannatul firdaus

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Fatwa.org.au
Is there or any hadith or mention if us normal people can possibly reach Jannat al Firdows?? It seems almost impossible.

Also, what is higher, Jannat al Firdows or illuon (cant spell it in english), apparently illuon is the highest too? or are they the same thing?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Yes, we can attain jannatul firdaus by the Will of Allah Ta’ala. That is why the Holy Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “When you ask Allah, you should ask for al-Firdaus, as it is the best and highest paradise; above it is the Arsh of the Most Merciful and from it gush the rivers of paradise.” (Bukhari and Muslim; Tafseer Mazhari: 4/366)

Apart from making dua for attaining Jannatul Firdaus, we should abstain from all sins, be particular about following the Shariah and spend more time with the pious Muslims.

And Allah knows best.
