Completion of the Quran

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Q. I have a question regarding the completion of the Quraan. If for example you are on the 20th chapter of the Quraan and lets say the month of Ramadaan is approaching, can you stop the completion and start a new completion for the month of Ramaadan and when Ramadaan is over and you have completed the Ramadaan Quraanic completion, can you resume with the Quraanic recitation prior to the month of Ramadaan? Is this allowed in terms of Quraanic recitation and practices?

A. This is allowed and there is no harm in doing so. However, there is no need to do this. It will be better and more rewarding for you to continue in your recitation in the month of Ramadhan until you have completed the Quran, and then start again from the beginning.

And Allah knows best.
