Question:
I had some black marks on my joint in knee. Recently when I washed myself properly I found that those black marks were dirts and it became clean when I rubbed it a little hard. I want to ask, with this dirt on the joint of my leg, behind my knee are my ghusl of all these years valid?

Answer:
Bismillahi wa billahi At Tawfeeq
The ruling would depend on the dirt in question. If the dirt was such that it didn’t prevent the water from reaching the skin as is generally the case, then the ghusl will be valid. If however, it was such that it prevented water from reaching the skin( for instance it was a lot of dirt which formed a thick layer ) then the ghusl would not be valid.
