What is the Islamic perspective of a Muslim woman (divorced) maintaining a “friendly” relationship with a married man… and vice versa…despite the fact that they once had a personal relationship.

This type of ‘friendly relationship’ is totally haram (unlawful and sinful) in Islam. The personal relationship they had in the past (if they were not married to each other) was also haram.
Therefore, the Muslim woman must desist from this conduct.
