Can you please tell me the importance of nafl salah?
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
Nafl salah is a type of optional salah for which the person performing will receive extra reward.
It is narrated by Umme Habibah Radiallahu Anha that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam has said: “Any Muslim slave of Allah who prays for the sake of Allah 12 rakats every day other than the obligatory (prayers) Allah will build for him a house in jannah.” (Sahih Muslim P.251 v.1)
It is narrated by Saaidah Aaisha Radiallahu Anha that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam has aid; “The two rakaat (Sunnah of Fajr prayer are better than this world and what it contains.” (Sahih Muslim P251 V.1)
