Question

What is the hukm of putting a name that has Allah like Amanullah on a gravestone?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

In regards to gravestone fuqaha have mentioned that one may only place a gravestone in order to recognize whose grave it is, now in regards to names with Allah it is best not to place the name on the gravestone and maybe just use initials so one can recognize the graves,

With regards to Quranic verses and Allah’s names on the gravestones, one should be very careful and avoid doing so as this can be a result of disrespect.[i]

Only Allah knows best
