Question

Is it permissible to perform sajdah in this chair with the table being high?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

In regards to the question asked if a person is performing salah on a chair, it will be performed with gestures only. The person does not need to put another table or chair or desk in front to make sajdah, rather the gesture of the head will be taken into consideration, The gesture for sajdah needs to be lower than the rukoo, and there is no need to place one’s hand in front as well.
