Question

I have a question regarding Qadha salah. If I have been baligh for 3.5 years and haven’t prayed a single salah, how many Qadhas would I have to do? Please let me know as soon as possible.

Answer:

There are five prayers in a day and 365 days a year. If we do 5 x 365, it will equal 1825 prayers in a year and 1825 x 3.5 years will equal 6388 prayers in 3 and a half years. The total divided by 5 equals 1277.6, which means you need to pray 1278 prayers of every prayer, which includes Fajr, Dhuhr, ‘Asr, Maghrib, and ‘Isha. Remember that you are only required to pray the fardh units of salah and not the sunnats e.g. two units of Fajr, four units of Dhuhr etc.
