Covering Hair during Adhkar

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Question:

Assalamu alaikum, my question is when we are doing some adhkar/zikr while cooking or doing anything is it necessary to cover our head like we should wear scarfs?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It is necessary to cover one’s hear during salah, not while reading daily adhkar (al-Hidayahp.171 v.1 Maktabatul Bushra). Covering during adhkar should be done out of respect and adab.

Only Allah knows best
