Question

Assalamu alaikum

If you visit your boyfriend in the night in Ramadan, just to visit then go back and not to sleep over, is it haram?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

To have a boyfriend itself is haram in Islam and is also damaging to your spirituality. Allah (SWT) has said in the Holy Qur’an: “And do not go near adultery. Indeed, it is immorality and an evil way.”[1]

Being alone with a non-mahram is strictly forbidden in Islam. Prophet (s.a.w) said: “No man is alone with a woman but the shaytan is the third one present.[2]
