Question

Assalamu alaikum

Is there any karaha (dislike) in the Imam of Eid Salah being a different person to the khateeb?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It is preferred that the khateeb (the person who performed the khutba) leads the prayer. However, if someone else leads the prayer then the prayer will also be valid inshallah.[1]
