Question

I am on a Hajj group currently, a group of four did not do a formal niyaah and labbayk before crossing the meeqat on the plane, they were sleeping. What is the practical solution for them at this point?

Answer:

They will have to travel to the meeqat and make a formal niyaah (intention) and labbayk because Jeddah is in the meeqat. A practical solution will be for them to travel to the closest Meeqat, which is Jahfa and then enter Makkah.

Saaiduna Abdulllah Ibn Abbas narrates that the Prophet of Allah fixed the Meet for the residents of Madinah at “Dhul Hulaifah”, for those who come from Syria at “Jahfa” and for those who come from Najd at “Qarn Ul Manazil” and for those who come from Yemen at “Yalamlam.” (Sahih Bukhari p.206 v.1)
