Question

Assalamu ‘alaykum.

Is it permissible to sell hand-painted hijab and gowns to non-hijabi sisters?

Answer

Wa ‘alaykum assalam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh.

I pray you are well.

Yes, it is permissible to sell the hijabs and gowns you mentioned, even non-hijabis. Intend to b a means of facilitating good for them. Perhaps they will end up wearing them to please Allah.

I wouldn’t worry about selling them hijabs. There’s nothing wrong with it. This type of trade is permissible. In fact, when the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) was asked about wearing nice clothes, he said, “Indeed, Allah is beautiful; He loves beauty.“ (Muslim)

May Allah grant you the best of both worlds.
