Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah
If a person commits zina before Ramadan can his fast count. And if so is there a time period where one’s body is impure like drinking alcohol or smoking marijuana.

Zina is a major sin and an awful act. A person who commits it must repent sincerely to Allah and put in place measures that will protect them from committing this sin again. However, Zina that was committed before Ramadan will not invalidate the fast of Ramadan.
A person who commits Zina must cleanse themselves by doing ghusl.
Only Allah Ta’ala knows best.
