Can I pay bribe money from bank interest to get a drug licence?

Dear Mufti saheb, Assalam-o-alaikum. I am getting an itrest from my bank deposits which is being given to poors.I am a retired person and now trying to establish a business of wholesale medicine for which I need to take a drug licence.In order to get a drug licence a lot of money is required to be paid to different people as bribe.Can I pay this bribe money from the intrest earned from bank deposits. What is Islamic Fatwa for this. Kindly answer this for which I shall remain obliged. Jajakallah khair. wassala alaikum.

Answer

(Fatwa: 376/309/B=1431)

(1) It is not lawful to deposit ones money in bank with the intention that one would give the interest to poor ones. As it is not lawful to rob or steal for giving charity. Yes, it is allowed to deposit money in the bank only for the sake of protection and safety.

(2) Interest amount received from bank is not allowed to be given as bribe. You should invest your own amount in order to get a drug licence.
