Is food from an off licence haram if it’s halal?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftisays.com
assalaamu alaikum,
just wanted to ask if somebody brought halaal food e.g bread from an off licence because other shops were shut would the food be haramm because it was from an off licence?

Answer

Bismihi Subhanahu Wa-ta’ala

Assalamooalaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Bread bought from an off license is not Haraam per se nonetheless as
you indicate it would be better to buy it from elsewhere if possible.
In the scenario mentioned, it would be permissible.
