Aslam o Alaikum, imam shafi went to his teacher complaining abt the weakness of his memory.the techer told him to abandon rebellion cause knowledge is light and the light of Allah is not bestowed on a rebel. 1) Here wht does a rebel represents,i mean wht kind of persons are included in this rebellion group,signs of rebel.so i can take precautions 2) secondly i am a medical student.does the knowledge i m getting is noor;light of ALLAH or the above incident of hazrat imam shafi was about only religious knowledge. 3)does the above incident all types of student and knowledge 3)how can i get benefit from this incident jazak ALLAH KHAIRAN.

(Fatwa: 2346/1834=H/1429)

(1) Noor means the blessings of divine sciences which are not achieved by sinners. The ulama who are favoured with blessings of the Islamic sciences, by seeing them and their companions one is remembers Allah and in their company the love of the world decreases and interest in the Hereafter increases. Those who are granted these blessings they have apparent signs like tending to good deeds and enjoying a habit of avoiding sins, which can be apprehended even by common people.

(2) It was related to Islamic sciences.

(3) The reply was given under 1, strengthen your contact with ahl-e-haq ulama who follow sunnah, in-shaAllah you shall see its benefits and blessings with your own eyes.
