Is it permissible to print Islamic verses on marriage invitation cards?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
as-salaam alaikum i have seen that almost all marriage invitation cards begin with “Bismillah…In the name of ALLAH the most…” and other islamic verses printed. These cards like any other cards are disposed off with other rubbish things like news papers. I have also seen marriage invitations lying on the road. Is it permitted to print invitation cards with the aiyats of Quran Majid and the name of ALLAH Tabarak-v-Tallah on it? If not, then how are we supposed to spread awareness among muslim brothers? Please advise.

Answer

(Fatwa: 519/519=M/1430)

We should respect the paper or card on which the name of Allah or verse of Quran is printed; it is unlawful to desecrate it. If marriage card is not kept at proper place and it is dropped like newspapers and other papers, then the Quranic verses, hadith and the name of Allah should not be printed on it. We should keep cards which carry such writings at proper places.
