Answer

(Fatwa: 431/236/D=1432)

It is forbidden to have intercourse after birth until the blood discharge stops. However, it is not necessary to stay back for forty days. If the blood stops before this period though within one week, and intercourse is not injurious for the woman, then it shall be lawful to have intercourse after ghusl.
