asalamualaykum, Is my wifes sister my mahram? Is my wifes mother my mahram? Please give detailed explanation. JazakAllah Khair

Answer:

(Fatwa: 1131/923=L/1430)

Sister of wife (sister in law) is non-mahram, one should observe hijab.

Mother of wife (mother in law) is mahram.

Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) knows Best
