I would like to ask whether it is accepted in Shariah that if a person dies than for isal-e-sawab of the marhum the people of that locality, his relatives can arrange for reciting of the Quran/Yasin in congregation in masjid/house. What if this is becoming a regular practice for every dead person? Request you to kindly provide Quranic verses and Hadith as reference to support your answer.

According to Shariah, the prevalent Quran khawani in which the feast is arranged and the reciters of the Holy Quran are paid is unlawful. For isal-e-sawab, it is not necessary to invite people, it may be done individually.
