Can I do istikharah on divorce if I’m unsure of the answer from different Ulama?

Can I do istikharah on issue of divorce whether it happens or not because I am confused after receiving different type of answers from different Ulama? Some of them say it happens and some are saying it does not happen. I just want to know whether istikharah is valid for this purpose (Divorce happens or not).
