What does one do with an amputated limb?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulfiqh.com

What does one do with an amputated limb?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

An amputated limb should be buried.  It does not require a ghusl (ritual bath) and neither is Salāh al-Janāzah performed on it.  Simply wrap it up in a cloth and bury it.[1]

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
