Q: If life policies, for death disabilities etc are haraam and we are being offered the policies at work, can I accept them as I am worried if anything should happen to me, will my wife manage to cover the house and bills?
A:We should remember that ALLAH TA’AALA is our sustainer and he will provide for us. So if you are not there to support your wife Allah Ta’aala will look after her. Nevertheless if you leave this world and your wife does not have any money to support herself the responsibility of looking after her rests on her sons, father and brothers.
