Q: I am a widow with a 13 year old son. He is now baalieg (mature). Can you give me advice on how to handle this situation. The topic of becoming mature was addressed in their madressa class this year, but I’m not sure the degree to which is was discussed.
A: It will be easier to get a responsible and knowledgeable male in the family to speak to him and explain the necessary laws related to Tahaarah, etc. Otherwise ask the teacher in the Madrasah to speak to him.
