Is my income Halaal working for an Islamic institution which promotes liberal Islam?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I am working for an Islamic institution which is govt controlled, they preach and distribute ‘Islamic’ literature which promotes the ‘proud to be American Muslims’ brand. My work is supervisor and Administrator of this institute. I am doubting my income I receive from here. Is my income halal?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is your responsibility as an Administrator to ensure the literature that is distributed is authentic. You should refer to reliable ‘Ulama to ensure the authenticity of the literature and other affairs of the Islamic Institution.

Nevertheless, the income from your job will be permissible. [1]
