Performing just one prayer regularly so that one may be benefited from atleast one prayer e.g Maghrib is right or wrong?

It is necessary to pray every single prayer in its time.This is a defining characteristic of a Muslim.The Prophet صلىاللهعليهوسلمsaid,
حدثناقتيبةحدثناجريروأبومعاويةعنالأعمشعنأبيسفيانعنجابرأنالنبيصلىاللهعليهوسلمقالبينالكفروالإيمانتركالصلاة

The (difference) between disbelief and faith is leaving the prayer (Tirmidhī)
The Companions رضياللهعنهمdifferentiated between the importance of prayer and all other actions, such that they believed only a disbeliever would leave prayer.

The Companions of the Prophet صلىاللهعليهوسلمdid not believe the leaving of any action as disbelief, except for prayer (Tirmidhī)
Due to the importance of prayer, it is the first of a person’s actions that he/she will be accounted for on the Day of Judgment [i].Although praying at least one out of the five prayers regularly is better than not praying at all, a Muslim cannot be content with it as the first thing Allāh Ta’ālā will take a person into account on the Day of Judgment will be his prayers.The Prophet صلىاللهعليهوسلمsaid,

Verily, the first thing a servant will be accounted for on the Day of Judgment from his actions will be his prayer.If this is good, then he has certainly succeeded.And if this is bad, then he has certainly failed… (Tirmidhī)
Therefore, the person should be consistent and regular in all five of his daily fard (compulsory) prayers.Moreover, if he misses a prayer due to some reason beyond his control, then he should make it up as soon as possible.
