I was wondering if there is a specific hadith or ayah from the Qur’an that says that the sisters must be in a seperate room from the brothers during salah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

For example, if a sister arrives at the masjid after the imaam has started the salah, and she is the only one there, how does she know where in the salah the imam is? inshAllah please respond! JazkAllah khairan, Wasalaam

Answer

Women should pray their Salaat individually at their homes. It is Makrooh
Tahrimi for them to pray their Salaat with Jamaat on their own or even pray
behind the men. (Ahsanul Fataawa part3 pg.283)
