A women’s work requires her to travel to share information on a project they are currently working on. She is the only one capable of going. Can she go without a mahram? Most of the time on her travel she will be in the company of her hosts.
Answer
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, ‘It is not permissible for a
woman to travel more than three days (88 kms. or more) without her Mahram.
The Hadith is clear and explicit. It is not permissible for a woman totravel
at least 88 kms or more without a Mahram for any reason.
