I am unmarried.I own an account of 18 lac and have jewellery above 7 1/2 tolas.Do i have to pay zakat myself or should my father pay it for me on cash and jewellery?

Answer:

If you are an adult(attained puberty), then it is your responsibility to discharge your Zakat. Your father may discharge your Zakat with your consent.
