1. The name Atiqua coule be explained in one of two ways in the Arabic
language: a) Aatikah (with ‘Kaaf’) – which means a lady who is richly
perfumed, b) Aatiqah (with ‘Qaaf’) – which means emancipated, a beautiful
lady, of honourable family background, etc.
2. a) Saarah – the name of the sacred wife of Ibraahim (Alayhis salaam),
mother of Is-haaq, it means a sheet or veil; b) Sarrah – a lady whose
charming manners cause joy and happiness.
