I have two coloured lips meaning my bottom lip is totally pink while my top lip is really dark like it’s really noticeable. I really get self conscious and cuz of my lips I am not too confident about myself really bothers me. Also I feel like it also affects the beauty of my face like odd lips which are so prominent. So I was just wondering what is the ruling in Islam, like if their is something now a days that can be done to make my lips one colour would it be permissible for me to do? It would also affect my looks for my husband cuz I do feel like it is affecting our marriage like him liking my face. I am not trying to change it for any beauty purpose or to look
Beautiful for others just for my husband and for myself.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, it is permissible to undergo treatment to rectify a defect in one’s body.[i]
In the enquired scenario it will be permissible for you to treat your lips to make them one colour.

إذا أراد الرجل أن يقطع إصبعا زائدة أو شيئا آخر قال نصير رحمه الله تعالى إن كان الغالب على من قطع مثل ذلك الهلاك فإنه لا يفعل وإن كان الغالب هو النجاة فهو في سعة من ذلك رجل أو امرأة قطع الإصبع الزائدة من ولده قال بعضهم لا يضمن ولهما ولاية المعالجة وهو المختار ولو فعل ذلك غير الأب والأم فهلك كان ضامنا والأب والأم إنما يملكان ذلك إذا كان لا يخاف التعدي والوهن في اليد كذا في الظهيرية من له سلعة زائدة يريد قطعها إن كان الغالب الهلاك فلا يفعل وإلا فلا بأس به كذا في خزانة المفتين
