Do I have to give penalty (dam) for making late Qadhaa (missed fast)?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

About 2 years agao i was travelling to Saudi Arabia to spend Ramdan there. Ramadan had already started and due to travelling i did not keep my fast. I am making up for the fast which I missed this year and I know its a bit later but Allah (s.w.t)is all forgiver. Do I need to give a dam beacuse i am 2 years late in keeping them. Jazakallah

Answer

Qadhaa (missed fast) should be fulfilled as soon as possible. However, you
do not have to give a penalty (dam) for making late Qadhaa (missed fast).
