Question:
1-My wife joined work of Tabligh 5 years before. Before also she never left Salaat but she is in doubt about her previous prayers, she says that she did not know about Masaail of Ghusl, Tajweed and Satar etc. She used to put water into the nose but she did not know about the limit of soft bone of nose, secondly she used to cover herself with Dupatta (double on the head) but she is in doubt that she might not be able to observe proper Satar. Please guide does she has to repeat her prayers before these 5 years or she must hope that those prayers are accepted?
Answer:
Your concern regarding your Deen is appreciated. In Ghusl, it is compulsory that the water reaches the beginning portion of the soft bone in the nose as is usually done. The water does not have to go into the soft bone, since this causes difficulty. (Ahsanul Fataawaa, Vol. 2, Page 38.)
Many people put a lot of effort in learning the correct pronunciation of the letters of the Qur’an. This may be difficult in the initial stages, but since the individual does not give up in his/ her quest for learning the correct pronunciation, Insha Allah his/her Salaat will be accepted.
Normally, the individual ensures that he/ she is properly covered before performing Salaat. If you are convinced that you were properly covered, there is no need to be worried. It is however hoped that Allah will accept your Salaat.
