Abu Hanifa’s Books?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Did Imam Abu Hanifa (Rahimahullah) author any books and if so are there any available to date?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam,

There are several works attributed to Abu Hanifa, of which the most authentic are a few treatises in Islamic beliefs (aqida). The most famous of these is al-Fiqh al-Akbar.

As for his fiqh, it was transmitted most notably through the teachings of his major students and the writings of his second most important student, Imam Muhammad ibn al-Hasan in the 6 works known as “dhahir al-riwaya.”

Walaikum assalam,
Faraz Rabbani.
