What to do with discarded sacred pages?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria
Today in this era of selfishness, people has thrown away thousands of sanctified pages on which many sanctified names has been written. If you go to the vegetable market you will see thousands of pages lying on the floor and it is difficult to pick them all up. If you pick them up one day, the same amount of papers will be lying there the next day. What should one do in such a situation? One is not able to pick up so many pages, nor can one tolerate seeing the verses of Quran and other such sanctifies pages just lying on the floor. What is the law for such situations? Does one have to pick up such sanctified pages if he sees them or he will not be sinful for not picking them up? Please guide me regarding this issue.

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

If reverence isn’t being shown to sanctified pages or these pages fall somewhere where people may step on them, then it is not permissible for any Muslim to leave in that state, in fact, it is incumbent to pick them up and put them somewhere clean. However, it is not possible for one person to pick up so many of these pages, so as long as it is easy and not inconvenient, the questioner should show reverence to such sanctified pages by picking them up and putting them somewhere clean. Governmental institutes and organizations should also be informed about this.
And Allah knows best.
