Question:

If a masjid is having two Ishas and two Taraweeh

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Generally, according to the Hanafi opinion, to perform a second congregation in the same place after the imam and the people have prayed the Salah in Jamat is considered Makruh Tahrimi unless it’s prayed elsewhere. (1)

This is due to the dislike of the Athaan and Iqaamah being repeated.

However, in today’s time, the need for multiple congregations for Jummah and Eid Salah has increased and in such cases, we consider the Shariah’s principle:

“Necessity brings ease” (2)

Mufti Muhammad Hasan Gangohi (Ra) has permitted the performing of two congregations without the prohibition applying. (3)

Thus, in response to your query, where necessities require multiple Jamat like Jummah, Eid and Taraweeh, it will be permissible to perform two congregations.

Only Allah knows best
