My question is about heena (mehendi) which girls usually put on their hands on every occasions like marriage or Idd, is this right? I mean is this sunnath? If yes so a man should touch at least to do for sunnath, in case during his marriage.
To apply ‘mahandi’ for the purpose of beautifying is not permissible for men but it is permissible for women. This type of beautifying is permissible for women only, whether they are staying at home or doing it for some special occasion. However, if men need to apply it to their head or the bottom of their feet for medicinal purposes then it would be allowed. Sometimes, men apply it on their hair to dye it or on the bottom of their feet to extract heat from the body in these cases the rulings are different.
