Our Deobandi Thabligh Jama’ath is making a lot of effort in spreading Islam. What I want to know is whether the work done is according to Qur’an and Hadees such as making announcement to do Gashth and writing names of those who like to go in the path of Allah?

Announcement for Gasht and writing names of those who wish to participate in this work are permissible acts and there is no Shar’i proof in prohibition of them. Nor this system is adopted considering it as manifested in text which necessitates a proof. Therefore it is necessary to refrain from going behind such unwanted matters.
