الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

According to the Shari’a it is Makrooh e Thahreemi to leave the trousers hang below the ankles purposely. Severe punishments are recorded in Ahadees e Mubaraka in this context. However if there is a valid excuse then there may be an allowance in Shari’a, but reliabale Ulemas should be contacted and elucidated of the nature of such excuses. It is narrated by Hadhrath Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu Anhu that Rasoolullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, on the day of Qiyaamat, Allah Tha’ala will not look at a person who drags his garment below his ankles with pride. (Bukhari Vol 2 P 860, 861) Hadhrath Abu Saeed Khudri Radhiyallahu Anhu narrates “I heard Rasoolulllahi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam saying,’ Garment of Mu’min (Believer) is, up to the half of his calf and if it remains between the half of his calf and the ankle there is no Sin on it, and whatever is below, that will be in the Hell’, and he repeated this three times”. Further, on the day of Qiyamath, Allah Tha’ala will not look at a person who drags his garment with pride.
