Qasr salah (15 day calculation)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Fatwaa.com

For my last question, I received below response

“If a person remains 15 nights in a place, he becomes a Musaafir. You do not have to work out the hours. Even if the total hours work out to be slightly more than 360 hours (15 days x 24 hours), a person will still be a Musafir if he he only spent 15 nights in that area.”

Can you recheck, if he stays 15 nights will he be musfair or muqeem?

I received different opinions

1. If it is not 360 (24×15) hours we are musafir
2. We should stay overnight for 15 days. I believe overnight ends at fajr

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

If you spend 15 nights, you will be a Muqim, even if the hours are less than 360.
