This is part of a lengthy narration recorded in At Tadwin Fi Akhbari Qazwin and other sources on the authority of Sayyiduna Salman Al Farisi (radiyallahu ‘anhu). The Hadith is known as ‘Forty Hadiths on etiquette’.

However, ‘Allamah Dhahabi (rahimahullah) and others have declared this Hadith a fabrication.
