A home in Jannah made from a ruby

Question

There is Hadith in Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah (Hadith: 35168) regarding a special jewel home reserved for Prophets, and martyrs.

Is this Hadith authentic?

Answer

Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration as the statement of Ka’b al Ahbar (rahimahullah). The narration is suitable to quote as reported [i.e. As the statement of Ka’b al Ahbar rahimahullah].

(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah: 35168)

Gist of this narration:

Ka’b al Ahbar (rahimahullah) said that there is a ruby in Jannah which will not have any crevices nor any joins. There will be seventy thousand homes in there and each home will have seventy thousand maidens of Jannah (Hurs). This is reserved for Ambiya, martyrs, just rulers and a person who is captured by the enemy and forced to denounce Islam or face death and he chooses to stay steadfast on Islam.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
