What is the reference for this Hadith?
ما تركت شيئا يقربكم إلى الله إلا وأمرتكم به
I have ordered you to carry out every [deed] that will draw you close to Allah
Answer
There are several narrations which discuss a similar subject matter as to that in your question. See here and here
However, I have not come across these exact words in any primary Hadith source. A similar (mursal) narration is recorded in Musannaf ‘Abdur Razzaq with some changes in the wording:
ما تركت شيئا يقربكم من الجنة ويباعدكم عن النار إلا قد بينته لكم
I have explained to you every such [deed] that will draw you close to Jannah and distance you from the Fire.
(Musannaf ‘Abdur Razzaq, Hadith: 20100)
