Does a woman have to pay for her Mahrams Hajj expenses?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. A woman had funds for her Fardh Hajj. She had Mahrams who were willing to go with her for Hajj but they did not have the funds for it. Does she have to pay for her Mahrams Hajj too?

A. If a woman has sufficient funds to pay for her own Fardh Hajj expenses and the Hajj expenses of her Mahram, it will be necessary for her to bear the Hajj expenses of her Mahram as well, if he is willing and it is possible for him to accompany her as a Mahram for the journey of Hajj. In such a case, she will not be absolved of the performance of her Fardh Hajj. (Hindiyyah 1/219)
