Using sihr (jaadu) to force a girl into marriage

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: In Islam, a husband and wife are rewarded for satisfying eachother in bed, but what if a boy marries a girl by doing sihr (jaadu) on her and makes her agree to marry him? In that case will that person be rewarded by Allah for satisfying her or will it be counted as a life time rape?

Bismillaah

A: If he used sihr to force her into marriage then this is haraam, and sihr entails many haraams and sometimes it can also entail some shirk. Hence he will be guilty of two sins, one is practising sihr and secondly forcing the woman into marriage.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
