Sunnah Method for Cutting Nails: Is There One?

Q: Is there a sunnah method when cutting one’s nails?

Bismillaah

A: We have not come across any hadeeth, but the following is the style of the ulama and righteous: Commence with the index finger of the right hand until you reach the little finger.

Thereafter, commence with the little finger of the left hand until you reach the thumb of the left hand. Thereafter, complete by clipping the thumb of the right hand.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
